Installation Guide	==== FEATURED CATEGORIES INSTALLATION GUIDE - Version 1.1====== 1. Copy folder app to magento root folder.( This do not override any file in your magento) 2. Make sure to clear cache in admin of magento 3. Goto admin->configuration-> Feature Category tab Number of Columns: Number of columns you want show featured categories ( Example: 3-It means the featured categories be showed on 3 columns) Number of Categories: Number of featured Categories will be showed Thumbnail width: Width ( px) of image that be showed on frontent Thumbnail height: height( px) of image that be showed on frontent Filter by Categories: select YES if you want filter by category. 4. Display the featured categories on frontent: - You can use 2 normal ways: adding block direct on cms page or adding block on xml layout 4.1. Adding the featured categories directly on static page In the case you want to display the featured categories in the home page or some special page, you should use this way to add the featured categories directy on cms page: {{block type="featurecategory/featurecategories" name="featurecategories" template="featurecategory/featurecategories.phtml"}} 4.2. Adding the featured categories by using xml layout page.
